Drake

Drake fans will have to settle for an EP this year. The rapper-singer’s much-anticipated debut album will not be coming out in 2009.

Drake will spend the remainder of the year recovering from knee surgery, which he will undergo on September 8, and recording his album Thank Me Later, due mid-February 2010, according to his rep.

The “Successful” star, who’s already collaborated with Jay-Z and Eminem, is working with Lil Wayne, Justin Timberlake, and Timbaland on the project.

Earlier this week in New York, Drake participated in a photo shoot with Kid Cudi and Wale for GQ magazine’s Men of the Year issue. His mixtape, So Far Gone, will be released commercially with seven tracks on September 15.
