Snoop Dogg Lands Executive Role, Readies New Album![]() Snoop Dogg has been named top dogg at Priority Records. In addition to his new position as Creative Chairman, the rapper will release his 10th studio album on the famed hip-hop label by the end of the year.
As Creative Chairman of EMI Music’s Priority Records, Snoop will relaunch the legacy of the influential West Coast rap label and will work to maximize untapped digital and branding opportunities. He will also serve as executive producer for upcoming Priority releases scheduled to arrive next year to commemorate the label’s 25th anniversary. “Starting fresh with EMI is a great feeling. It’s a new partnership, a new Priority Records, and a new Snoop Dogg: the Creative Chairman…the Boss Dogg…the Dogg Father,” Snoop said in a statement. “The business model we’ve developed will bring the musical heritage of groups like N.W.A. to the forefront. And you definitely got to get ready for my new album Malice N Wonderland in December to kick it all off—this is going to be the most potent dose of Snoop Dogg yet!” Malice N Wonderland will feature production from The-Dream, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Dr. Dre, Pharrell, Danja, and Nottz, with appearances by Soulja Boy, Lil Jon, R. Kelly, The-Dream, Brandy, and Jazmine Sullivan. TweetYou can leave a response, or trackback from your own site. 3 CommentsLeave a Reply

These legends in the game need to know that they don’t have to try too hard to stay relevant. I’ll still keep an eye out for this one . But why do you need to work with soulja boy when you will always be on good terms with Pharrell and Dr. Dre?
