Rap-Up.com || Janet & Madonna Honor Michael Jackson

MTV lived up to its promise of paying “a tribute like no other to a performer like no other” with not one superstar, but two. Madonna opened the VMAs with a heartfelt speech remembering her colleague and one-time friend, followed by an elaborate set by today’s top choreographers, including Tina Landon, Laurie Ann Gibson, and Cris Judd. Janet Jackson brought tears to Radio City by performing “Scream,” her duet with her late brother.

JANET JACKSON PERFORMANCE WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE SHOW, NOW THIS IS HOW YOU OPEN AN AWARD SHOW. MICHAEL WOULD HAVE BEEN SO PROUD OF HER. JANET JACKSON IS THE “GREATEST FEMALE PERFORMER & ENTERTAINER OF ALL TIMES” SHE IS THE “FEMALE MICHAEL JACKSON”, JANET & MADONNA IS THE QUEEN OF POP AND I HOPE THAT THESE YOUNG ONES WERE PAYING ATTENTION TO HOW AN AWARD SHOW SUPPOSE TO OPEN UP. THE CROWD WENT BURSURK FOR JANET JACKSON INCLUDING BEYONCE, ALICIA JENNIFER LO PEZ THEY WERE ACTING LIKE FANS. GOOD JOB JANET WE LOVE YOU. RIP “KING OF POP”

Janet Jackson came with her 100% game face on this is why I love her, The world had to see why she was on top for so long. She’s 43 years old and can still kill it dealing with the lost of her brother, break of with JD, and dissed by the media, she’s an unstoppable force. That new album will be dangerous. I commend Madonna as well she spoke true words. 2 Queens such an honor to watch this. ~ALS

Thank You Rap-Up!!! Janet is my favorite artist of all time and I was so proud of her. She was completely overwhelmed and I could still tell. I love Janet for that entire performance. Thank you Janet for coming back! We need you!!!! I couldn’t believe Madonna introduce her. It was a lot of dead feud hit the door…I commend Janet and Madonna for the tribute.

Rest in Peace Michael. You will forever live thru your music and of course baby sis.

I hope this means that janet and tina will work together again. I will consider attending a janet concert again if this happens. I am happy to see thems sharing the stage again.

I watched the show to watch this performance, & although her performance (her, not the dancing) was short, she had the best performance of the night.

yeah, yeah, it was touching. But was Janet’s dancing a little off? Esp when she did his dance. She looked tired and over worked. Felt sorry for her. “Joe” found someone else to enslave!

It wasn’t Michael’s dance. In the Scream video, they both did that break down routine. If you look at Janet’s performance at the VMAs, they photoshopped her out of the video behind her on the screen so it looks as if she’s performing live with her brother.
