President Obama Calls Kanye a ‘Jackass’ [Updated with Video]![]() Even the president is weighing in on Kanye West’s outburst at the VMAs. President Obama called West “a jackass” in an off-the-record comment during a CNBC interview on Monday. The comment became public when it was tweeted by ABC News’ Terry Moran on Twitter, reports Politico.com. “Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a “jackass” for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential,” wrote Moran in the tweet, which was later removed. ABC responded to the leak, saying, “In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview. This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again.” The president is the latest public figure to comment on the headline-grabbing incident. Kanye supported him during the presidential elections. Obama should’ve choose other option than calling him “Jackass”, or just make any comment. This Kanye/ Taylor story go too far. He apologized for his behavior in his ‘myspace’ and at Jay Leno in front of America. So Leave the man alone.

I agree with obama, ye is a jackass.
But on the other hand, I don’t like the idea of the prez meddling with something as dumb as the vmas. He’s better than that, he’s more than just another celebrity.

Entirely too far gone. Less we forget, we do have a recession, a wounded healthcare system, and thousands of soldiers in the Middle East to be concerned with. I am, and will always be on Team Obama, but this comment was a little off base. Terry Moran also needs to learn to shut-what-they-call-the-f_ck_up, and learn some journalistic integrity. Always trying to pit one black man against another….smdh! But Barack ain’t never lied, but Kanye is entitled to his opinion, and people need to chill, it is not as if he ran the country for 8 years and left us all in a recession. That’s who everyone needs to attack!

Jackass is not a bad word, it’s so common place now a days. Terry Moran should have kept his twitter closed. The president is a pop culture fan and has every right to express his opinion. When a reporter says OFF THE RECORD, anything that’s said after that can not be used, if the journalist has integrity…

If you disagree with what OBAMA said, YOU ARE A JACKASS TOO!!! I’m not even a big OBAMA fan, but Kanye is a Jackass and I don’t give 2 sh*ts if he apologized! These f*cks think they can do and say anything, and as soon as they apologize that’s supposed to make it better. Kanye is NOT a child, he is a grown azz man who knows better! F*ck him and all of you who forgive him, R. Kelly and CB!!! Kanye I’d forgive before the other two though, I mean come on..

“Kanye supported him during the presidential elections. Obama should’ve choose other option than calling him “Jackass”, or just make any comment. ”
So because a jackass supported you you can’t tell the truth about them? I guess he can’t say anything about rapists and pedophiles and drug dealers, because one or two might have voted for and openly supported him? Barack can states what he wants. I think JACKASS is a compliment compared to what Kanye really is.

Barack Obama is a human being. We know this. I know he’s called George W. Bush an asshole, jackass, and etc. more than once. Kanye…he had ANOTHER moment, but WE ALL agree with what he said, we just don’t approve of how he did it…I really wish he went off the record and said it. Not on the stage like that…

Im a little annoyed this even got out. The president said made this comment off the cuff when he heard what happened and some jerk off taped it and put it out so media junkies like us could keep the conversation going. I sincerely do home Kanye’s learned his lesson. His outbursts and massive ego was bound to get the best of him. Talk about embarrassment. This should be one big humbling experience.

I don’t get why some are upset by this. One: he said it in a private moment, but two: he is right. Kanye apologize to do damage control for his music career, he just watched a friend (chris brown) fall, because of public oppinion, of course he’s worried. He needs to know he is not better than anyone else. He’s a Jackass!!!
