Nelly Furtado, who was in the audience at Sunday’s VMAs, was asked her thoughts on the Kanye West-Taylor Swift incident during an appearance on E!’s “Chelsea Lately.”

“If I was on stage, I would’ve invited [Kanye] to like have a battle with me—he rap, I sing—and we see who the winner is,” she joked. “Because we clearly both wanted to perform that night and we weren’t invited.”

Why is the media trying portray him as an all-around bad guy? Its time to let it go. I don’t know why they are asking c-list celebs about the incident knowing damn well they know their response is them same as everyone else. Their just egging them on.Smh

since when is nelly furtado c-list? she had the biggest selling album 2007 and numerous hits! world wide she is more known than kanye…
and its not the first time kanye did that, maybe he starts to get on peoples nerves!

HAHAHA NELLY FURTADO is faaaar from C-List. She’s been an A-List celeb. longer then kanye, she’s been making hits longer then Kanye. She’s one of the Biggest stars in Latin America/Europe and she’s A Big Name here.
Kanye has always had a rep. for his bad attitude and obnoxious behavior, im glad everyones stepping up to finally say NO MORE and show him its not gonna fly.

I agree with Dan. I guess if you don’t have a current “hit” out on radio now, you’re not considered so much of a celebrity. You couldn’t avoid hearing a Nelly Furtado song on the radio from 2006 to early 2008, she ruled the charts worldwide.

noone is portraying anything that isn’t there. Mr. Kanye.. oops should I still be calling him Martin Louis the King Jr? says a lot of stupid things. This man deserves to be permanently reduced like 2-3 degrees in everyone’s perception.
Why are they asking everyone and their mama about it? because that’s what the news does and the news tends to be stupid. You don’t see Larry David asking everyone about it? It’s mostly these same lame channels like E and VH1, and TNZ, that give reality shows to .. well to people you don’t know until their show comes on. They never asked Obama about it on the air that was pre-recording chatter. No credible media outlet is talking about this anymore. (minus comments about the Obama leak)
Are they egging it on? yes of course they are youaren’t special for noticing.

lol @ the “ignant” people thinking Nelly or better yet Taylor Swift are C-list celebs(Taylor Swift sold more albums in all in the US than Lil Wayne last year). Its time to change it from BET people. Theres a whole world out there.
That being said, this is being ran into the ground. He apologized, hopefully he’ll get help and get off his high horse. We can move on… No one’s discussing that disrespectful white dude that yelled “you lie” to our PRESIDENT while in congress. THAT IS WRONG and needs to be criticized.

nelly furtado is hot and i loveeee her, of course. but kanye is just as popular around the world as nelly. ppl were practically begging for him to add an international leg to his g.i.t.d tour and he did it. so dont say that….and she is NOT A list, B at best, and neither is kanye, but still…i can personally say ive never heard anyone singing her songs anywhere, mimicing her lyrics or saying, “awww man i gotta get tickets to that nelly furtado concert”!! but i actually saw two dudes fighting cause this one guy bought the last ticket to the gitd concert and the guy wouldnt sell it. so another dream, your wrong. shes been out longer than kanye, but does NOT have more hits…sorryyyyyy. hahahah
