Music and fashion collided at the Ramscale Loft Studios in NYC, as singers, rappers, models, and television personalities came out to bid farewell to New York Fashion Week. The ever-present Teyana Taylor and Bad Boy’s Donnie Klang were a few of the partygoers in attendance at the Hennessy Black-sponsored and Red Model Management-hosted event.

DJ Beverly Bond got the wheels of steel burning with a mix of old school and current hip-hop jams while guests’ tastebuds were treated to a buffet that included chicken wings coated with a Hennessy sauce. Invitees also quenched their thirst with a concoction called the Hennessy Blackberry, consisting of apple juice, cranberry juice, and course, Hennessy Black.

Klang, who sported a dark gray suit by Zara, gave his observations on the intertwining of fashion and music. “[Fashion] is so much incorporated into the lyrics, so it’s very influential in my genre of music,” he said. The “Making the Band” star also revealed that a new album and his own reality spin-off, “What About Donnie,” will launch in early 2010.

MTV VJ Sway Calloway also joined the evening’s festivities, sharing his gear of choice. “I like to dress comfortable, real simple, but music and culture do influence my style,” he said as he showed off his Rocawear jeans and black Clark Wallabees, a shoe made popular through rhyme by Ghostface Killah. Calloway may try to stay fashionably low-key but his Wallabees did attract one VIP admirer. “I wore these while doing an interview with President Obama and he stopped to make note of these shoes,” he revealed. “He said, ‘You got on old schools!'”

The party also served as the set for the season finale of the new reality series “Model City,” which chronicles the adventures of African-American male models in New York City. The show is set to launch on the Centric TV network next year.
