Christina Aguilera Wraps New Album, Collaborates with Flo Rida

Christina Aguilera and Flo Rida

Tricky Stewart has not only been busy working on new projects for Ciara, Rihanna, Diddy, and The-Dream, but also Christina Aguilera’s long-awaited fourth studio album. The producer with the Midas touch let Rap-Up.com in on a few secrets from his recording sessions with the pop princess.

“I’m working on Christina Aguilera’s album for next year,” Tricky told Rap-Up.com in an exclusive interview.

The follow-up to 2006′s Back to Basics has been described as a departure from her past efforts. “It’s just great. I wouldn’t say that it’s alternative, I wouldn’t say that it’s different,” he shared. “Christina’s always been an artist that moves the bar and that’s what the great ones do. They don’t stay in the same place for too long and this album is just another move for her.”

The hitmaking machine behind Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” believes this album will take its place among Aguilera’s best work. “I really feel it’s one of her best bodies of work that I’ve heard since Stripped. I think it’s really, really amazing and I think it’s well put together.”

The record has something for everyone. “She’s mixing it up again. She’s singing R&B again, she’s doing pop. She’s doing it all, but she’s found a way to make it all meet in the middle because she’s so many different things. She’s a real serious musician, she’s a real serious pop artist, and she’s a real serious singer. She’s making all her audiences happy at the same time.”

The mother of one had previously revealed a collaboration with M.I.A. “I know that she did it,” confirmed Tricky, “and I know that there’s a lot of other cool features, like I know that she has Santigold and Flo Rida on there.”

Tricky enlisted the “Right Round” rapper for one of the cuts. “I put Flo Rida on my record because I love what he does. I think sometimes he doesn’t get credit for being as dope as he is, but he’s really dope.”

Fans will have to wait until next year for the album while the pop star focuses on Burlesque, her musical co-starring Cher. “She’s gonna do the film first. She didn’t want to not be able to promote this record because it’s gonna be a big record for her,” explained Tricky.

But rest assured that the futuristic-sounding project is on its way. “The album is finished. She’s mixing. She hasn’t made a final decision about what the first single is, but I know everyone feels good about their options.”

I hate that she has a finished album just sitting around. I can understand her wanting to do the movie first, but who sits on finished material for months? At least put something at radio for the fans.

yessssssss!!! & Christina is a pop Princess, there is more than 1 in any genre. Actually Britney is supposedly the pop queen, but Christina is the true artist. She’s not really pop, but people just primarily describe her as such. But, she explores lots of different genre’s. But, I guess by Pop defined as. popular, you can say she’s a pop artist. @Jacky. BUT, YAY!! CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS ALBUM, AND THE MOVIE!!!

Hey!

Everytime she puts out an album they claim it’s cutting edge. They tell the world that they hope the world is ready for it. Aguilera is pretentious with a superiority complex. She treats people around her like crap and then whines again about how abusive her dad was. It’s a crime that she still has a voice when true singers like Julie Anderson can’t sing anymore. Mark my words, by the time this album hits, someone will have come out with the same idea and tell the story of the song better. Before she starts to promo, someone scrub her down with a scouring pad to get rid of the orange glow.

@Aguilera hater, Then why are you reading about her new album? and she isn’t the one going around saying her music is cutting edge and hope everyone is ready for it, it’s the people she has worked with who just want to encourage her. And how dare you say that she whines about having an abusive father! you really must love to bring people down! she has created awareness for child abuse through telling her story. she ain’t whining! she’s a fighter! oh and one more thing… what orange glow? she’s as white as a vampire to me! (look at picture above )
I am really excited about her new album… I can’t wait to hear some new music, I feel like everyone is doing the same as everyone else. all rnb songs have the same boring beat. time for something fresh!

now i love Stripped it was way ahead of its time very under appreciated because of the first single dirrty ,which i love but people didnt like the video and whatever (u know the deal)

but now she tries to hard to act squeaky clean and keep it nice and out of the spotlight so much that shes lost my intrest

I am so pumped for this new album. I know she will do something completely different from what’s out there. The first single will probably be generic, because that’s what artist do to build hype. Musiq Soulchild, Eminem, Pink and Kelly Clarkson have all done this. We’ve been lost without Christina and we’ll get hit with a double whammy next year as far as music with the new album and soundtrack, plus we finally get to see her on the big screen.

Dose it really matter that the album is going to be next year?? Christina knows what the hell she is doing, she has been in this business along time, what is a few more months to wait??? This album is done the right way with some amazing people working with her, I would rather wait for this record to be promoted the way that it should be, and not just thrown out there to just satisfy the fans. We have waited this long don’t you want it done the right way???? Just give her a little more time, I know that it is frustrating, but the wait is going to be well worth it!!!!

she is being hated by everyone for being what she is. she spoke about self-encouragement when other women talked about mediocre, lifeless, gimmick love. she said “I am beautiful no matter what they say” yet they called her “bitch”. so what’s the deal? it’s just a matter of verbal abusing. you can’t punch everyone for offending you. let it be then you’ll grow stronger. she taught us about it very well. I know she’s no bigger than Madonna nor more popular than Britney nor sexier than Beyonce but I believe she excels ‘em all by the way how she inspires people. and what about Carey? Is the divacious Mariah better than her? by the time she tempted her “Loverboy” then suggested young boys to “Touch My Body” to get ‘em “Obsessed” she really makes me sick. mark my words (especially you Aguilera hater), in case of steadying her popularity in the industry soon she will score another bizzare 1′s hit entitled “Secret Admirer” or “You and Me Were Meant To Be” or “Baby, Love Me”. what a plastic R&B songs. what a crap singer she is. no wonder she won only a few Grammys (5) through 20 years of her career. no wonder Rolling Stone put her #79 on their 100 Greatest Singers of All-Time list away behind Aguilera at #58. when people accused Aguilera just a Mariah’s copycat, I burnt their words. she’s lucky for being first artists in pop industry. history might differ if Aguilera born earlier than Carey. 7 octave my ass. she never proves it on the stage anyway. she sounds amazing only on the record, when she starts to sing live I think people then would drawn eyebrows together and said, “is she the songbirds voice?”. ironic, isn’t it? I’m telling you, I’m not blinded such a fanatic act of Aguilera. she’s maybe pretty or blonde or whatever she never attracts me by her physical appeal anyway but my true female idols more than just pitiful physical things like Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, Diana Krall, Dusty Springfield, Alison Krauss, Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys, Norah Jones, and Amy Winehouse. but objectively I love her when I close my eyes and hear her voice swirling through my ears. it really works out. I’m on board as even Celine Dion and Axl “GnR” had to bow down and admitted her one of the greatest voices we’ve ever heard.

she’s being hated for being what she is. through her songs, she spoke about self-empowerment to encourage others when fellow women talked about mediocre perspective, lifeless inspiration, hedonism, and gimmick love somewhat in their songs. while Beyonce, Britney, Rihanna and Madonna committed a number of blatant beats, Aguilera stayed aware and bravely said honest words like “I am beautiful no matter what they say” yet you called her “bitch”? What’s going on? is speaking out your mind something harm today? so here’s the deal. it’s just a matter of verbal abusing. you can’t punch everyone for offending you. let it be and you’ll grow stronger. she taught us about it very well. I know she’s no bigger than Madonna nor more popular than Britney nor sexier than Beyonce but she excels ‘em all by the way how she inspires people to do positive things. and what about Carey? she did the same thing “Like That” with her “Hero”, right? is the divacious Mariah better than Aguilera? by the time she tempted her “Loverboy” then suggested young morron hunks to “Touch My Body” and get ‘em “Obsessed”, she really makes me sick. MARK MY WORDS (especially you Aguilera hater), in case of steadying her superior popularity in the industry, Carey will score another bizarre 1′s hit entitled “Secret Admirer” or “You and Me Were Meant To Be” or “Baby, Love Me”. what a plastic R&B songs. what a crap singer she is. no wonder then although selling more than 200 million albums she only won a few Grammys (5) through 20 years of her career. no wonder Rolling Stone put her at #79 on their 100 Greatest Singers of All Time list away behind Aguilera at #58. Mimi of 7 octave voice my ass. she never proves it on the stage anyway. she heard amazing only on the records, but when she sings live, I think people would drawn eyebrows together and said, “is she the songbird voice?”. ironic, isn’t it? I’m telling you, I’m not blinded such an Aguilera’s crazy fanatic fan. actually I don’t give a sh**t if she’s pretty or if she’s blonde or being Magazine X’s sexiest female on the planet or whatever. my true female idols more than just pitiful physical things like Aretha Franklin, Joni Mitchell, Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, Alison Krauss, Diana Krall, Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse, Dusty Springfield, Alicia Keys, Diana Schuur, and Norah Jones but when I close my eyes and let her voice swirling through my ears, I’m in love with this girl. really, it works out. not all sorts of her songs are masterful enough but I dare you to find any beat numbers by Carey or Houston that you might think better than funny and soultry “Ain’t No Other Man”. pick and compare them, listen to it carefully, then think this: which one do you think more boring ones? I think I’m on board as even Celine Dion and Axl “GnR” bowed down and admitted her one of the greatest voices we’ve ever heard.

She’s hated because of how far she came. When a guy told her its time she loses her virginity, she told him to wait till its the right time. When she noticed the guy she loved was treating her right, she thanked him for knowing what she wants. When her mother stood by her, she told her that she’ll turn to her when in need. Her versatality is something rare in the music business, while other pop tarts are talking about playing with a guy’s weiner or waking up in bed with a man you don’t even know. From Beyonce’s “kitty kat” song about her playing with her man eating vagina, to Britney’s song “womanizer” telling a guy he’s a cheater when she married a man while he was married. Christina still sang about mature relatable stuff like her family member passing away (Hurt), and stayed strong saying that there isn’t another man like her husband. Why does she get called a bitch? Because she speaks her mind and isn’t afraid of saying anything. She doesn’t put on the fake Christian act like her fellow peers do. Christina is a real artist with real talent, she’s misunderstood, and eventually will be thanked down the line for being a great idol to the younger generation. She could’ve shaved her head and flashed her vagina, but did she? No. She has class, faith in herself, she loves her fans, and we love her. I don’t care if Britney sold more than her or if Beyonce’s last album outsold Christina’s last. Quantity does not equal quality. Just watch; people will be praising Christina as time goes by for her lyrics, personality/strength, talent….She deserves those 45 million album sales so much.

YEAH! What the hell?!? So go and release the album. Like yeah, everyone is dying to hear the album already. But if Ms Aguilera does not do somtething, like put out a single on radio, then anticipation might just turn into frustration. And by then, something else becomes more interesting and fresher than this much-delayed, postmature album

Yeah. I agree with Louis. Stripped was far ahead of its time. Real good album. Critics don’t know what to make of it. Is it good or bad, they are not sure. So when one stupid critic puts down Dirrty, everybody follows. But the album is eclectic and outstanding. And that Billboard album review guy (Stephen Thomas, or so, whatever), he’s biased. He’s given much praise to Britney’s Blackout and Circus. Wtf, sister?
