Rap-Up.com || Madonna to Kanye West: ‘Put a Lid on It’

Madonna has never been one to hold her tongue. The Material Girl has some advice for Kanye West after his rant during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at last month’s VMAs.

“He’s a bit impulsive,” the music industry vet told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show on Thursday. The rapper and pop queen previously collaborated on “Beat Goes On” from Madonna’s Hard Candy album.

When asked what she would have done in that situation, Madge said, “I would have given him a good talking to. He needs to put a lid on it.”

While she may not agree with ’Ye’s actions, that doesn’t take away from his artistic abilities. “I do think he’s very talented.”

Madonna believes the outspoken West should not take award shows so seriously. “He gets confused and by the way, it’s only an awards show,” she added. “We’re not passing a bill that deprives someone of their rights. He doesn’t need to protest.”

okay this situation is done, dead, and over with. taylor swift is a 19 going on 20 year woman, she isnt a lil girl. these celebrities need to leave the situation alone lol. t swift moved on and so has kanye. stop draggin this out..

To those of you who said she’s a little late…She was at the VMAS DUH, she knows it happened three weeks ago. Ryan was just asking her a question and she answered. Rightly so to, Kanye needs to not take awards shows, especially MTV Awards shows so seriously. My god, the short sight of all you children.

She was being honest. Madonna likes Kanye though, they go to each other’s concerts, have hung out at parties and he was even on a song from her last album and did a video spot for her tour. She wasn’t putting him down or anything.

What Kayne West did was wrong. I’m glad the media are making a big deal of this. I hope it sets an example to all celebrities of not what to do at an awards night.
