Rap-Up.com || Soulja Boy Arrested for Running from Cops

Soulja Boy Tell’em found himself in the confines of a jail cell after being arrested in Georgia on Wednesday night for fleeing from police.

The 19-year-old rapper, born DeAndre Way, was taken into police custody on a charge of obstruction. Police responded to complaints of juveniles gathered in an abandoned home in Atlanta’s Henry County area. Once the officer arrived, he saw roughly 40 people in the dark backyard. When they saw the cop, half the individuals fled, including Soulja Boy.

“You couldn’t really tell what was going on,” said Captain Jason Bolton of the Henry County Police. “But about half of the group ran from the officer on foot. He ordered, of course, for them to stop. … There were several vehicles left at that location.”

The group told the officer they were there to film a music video. Soulja Boy eventually returned to collect his white Range Rover. Upon his return to the scene, he was charged with one count of obstruction, a misdemeanor, for running from the cops after being ordered to stop. The “Turn My Swag On” MC was placed behind bars and released on $550 bond Thursday morning.

Im trying to understand why he went back to the “scene”. Hmpf!

I guess he wanted his Range. Mostly likely it was gonna get stripped, stolen, or both.

i hate souja boy as much as the next guy but this seems like a whole bunch of non-story. he was arrested for basically nothing and was released on bail I could pay myself.
