Rap-Up.com || Rihanna Shoots Top-Secret Music Video

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for Rihanna. RiRi went back to work on Friday (Oct. 16) in New York City to film the highly confidential music video for the first single off her upcoming fourth album, in stores on Super Monday. For her latest look, the fashionista sported an eyepatch, high-heeled boots, and a slicked-back hairstyle.

Rihanna’s official website has posted a countdown to her new single, which will premiere on Tuesday (Oct. 20) at 11:23 a.m. EST, another reference to the album’s 11/23 release date.

I’m very excited for her album. She may not be the most talented of the bunch but she has her own aesthetic. I wonder if its an up-tempo or slow song. I’m sure it will be all over radio Tuesday.

Like the boss of my website says, there is no way this album is dropping in 2009. It’d be only FIVE WEEKS between the single and the album dropping if it stands-not nearly enough time to pick up good sales!

Even if the single does well, remember-Sean Kingston and Flo Rida had/have label backing and #1 hit singles, whereas The Roots, Nas, Jadakiss, Raekwon, & Chrisette Michele not so much-Still, the latter three got #1 (or at least #2) albums on the charts, while the former two only sold around 22,000 copies of the actual album in the first week (and would be lucky to go “bronze”-125k-later on)
