Curtis Jackson writes, directs, and stars in Before I Self Destruct. The gritty 90-minute film is a coming-of-age story about an inner city youth raised by a hardworking single mother. When his dream of becoming a basketball player doesn’t work out, he finds himself taking a job in a supermarket. After his mother is killed, Jackson’s character Clarence is consumed by revenge and turns to crime in order to support his younger brother.
The made-for-DVD movie will be packaged with Fif’s fourth album of the same name, in stores November 23.

cliche’d? Definitely. But doesn’t look as bad as I originally thought it would be. It could be worth checking out, and I hope the trailer lives up to the film itself.

he’s putting a lot work into this. And clever business move – this should make more people buy the actual CD instead of downloading it (legally and/or illegally). It definitely looks good and not cheap.
