Rap-Up.com || New Music: Kelis

Motherhood has reinvigorated Kelis, whose son Knight is the inspiration behind “Acapella,” an electro-dance record produced by David Guetta. “Before you, my whole life was acapella/ Now a symphony is the only song to sing,” she coos.

The “Bossy” songstress’ fifth studio album, due next spring, is her first on will.i.am Music Group/Interscope Records since splitting from Jive in 2007. In addition to Guetta, she is working with Burnz, DJ Ammo, Boys Noize, Diplo and Switch, and Free School.

david guetta’s songs were hits, he combined these music styles and it was successful, kelis just jumped on the train.

I LOVE it! I have been a fan since “Caught Out There” and I have supported this woman from the benning. I am a huge fan and I had the pleasure of meeting her once when he walked into my job (she was with Nas) and she was SO nice and friendly.
If this is a preview of what her new album is going to be like then I am on board once again.

There is nothing remotely original about kelis…madonna, Cindy lauper and a slew of others have done what kelis tried to do but people say she is an innovator because she is black! truthfully if she was all that great why has she not been suucessful as those you stans claim copy her…please kelis has more flops and her career than those who u fools try to say copied her!
