Rap-Up.com || Mya Finishes Second on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Mya was a step away from claiming victory on Season 9 of “Dancing with the Stars.” The singer and her dance partner Dmitry Chaplin, who had the highest scores during the season, were the runners-up, losing to Donny Osmond on Tuesday’s season finale. Kelly Osbourne placed third.

A frontrunner throughout the competition, Mya felt mixed emotions about her loss. “There’s disappointment, dedication, passion, and commitment,” she told E! Online. “It’s an experience that you’ll never forget for the rest of your life and that you want to share with others.”

Mya I’m really proud of you! You deserved to win and you making it to the finals just shows that you’re a winner already. Someone walked away with the trophy, but you walked away with pride.

@Telly, I agree… I kind of knew she wasnt gonna win.. cuz two weeks ago Joanna Krupa went home even and she was in 2nd place and Donny was in last place.. they were talking about how Donny has a big fan base and that he was gonna win.. But Mya is still a winner to me

Also I think they got it wrong.. cuz when they go back and talk about winners of a dance show.. Donny Osmond is gonna be talk about..ok then if thats what they want

Laila Ali got just as close result she lost. Lil’ Kim got the boot right before the finale. And now Mya in the finale and lost. If DWTS broadcast on a less “American” channel “they” just might have a chance.

Never watching the show again! MÝA should of won period. Donny sucked was even close to mýa’s talent. Agggh so mad mya won the show was rigged!

Mya…is still a WINNER. However, I did notice a tinge of favoritism for Donny. IE: Allowing him to
be the last to perform, when in essence, Mya and her partner had the highest score the night prior; judges giving Donny highest score for that night’s
performance, although they highly praised Mya; lastly, permitting Donny to sing. Mya, too, is a
singer–why not have the two do a duet????! Too much…way too much focus was on Donny. Unfair and
definitel unbalanced! Disgruntled view, who WILL NOT watch the show anymore! Oh, one more thing, when calling the dancers back to stage…Kelly and her partner, then Mya and hers…thus here comes Donny again. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

@mojo3, I was thinking the exact same thing. From day 1 Mya rocked and she consistently improved every week. Len did not like the gimmicks and she got rid of that and was killing them. Mya was extremely diverse and constantly switched it up. Donny cannot cannot cannot dance. Period. He did the same dance every week. My dad turned 68 a couple of days ago and can dance way better than Donny. I felt like the judges needed to give Donny the praise for his ego because he clearly lost it when he stepped on his partners dress even taking a cheap shot at his sister. One more thing, whenever they showed little clips of behind the scenes, Mya was rarely shown. I tried calling to vote for Mya but the line was busy. Everyone knows she should have won. But she can’t beat that publicity. Just gonna make her work even harder.
