Michael Jackson ruled just about every chart and list in 2009 and the Internet was no exception. The King of Pop dethroned Britney Spears as the most-searched-for music artist on Yahoo! this year with searches in the billions.
Yahoo!’s annual Year in Review takes a look back at the top trends and searches from the past year. With the exception of the King of Pop, females such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga dominated the list.
