Video: Janet Jackson Performs on ‘X Factor’

Janet Jackson promoted her greatest hits album Number Ones overseas in the U.K. The pop icon received a standing ovation from the judges when she performed “All for You” and “Make Me” on “The X Factor” on Sunday (Dec. 6).

    The judges give a standing ovation for everyone famous though…Mariah, Whitney, Alicia KEys, etc.

    I have so much respect for janet as a pioneer for ladies in the industry, never been a huge fan because of lip-syncing but I LOVED THIS performance. It was so energetic and she made it look like she was singing rather then just dancing to the track. Great performance*

    I loved the performance- and can’t wait for her next cd of new material in 2010….

    BUT BUT BUT BUT…. I recently read where Janet Jackson isnt really popular in the UK. THe comment read- “we only see Janet Jackson as just Michael’s littel sister”- not as a popular performer in her own right.

    Maybe because MJ is dead people can finally forgive Janet for the superbowl incident and accept her again on all music formats.

    Janet is definitely capitalizing on Michael Jackson’s death- and that’s no problem with me. I knew should would become more popular again when he died. I said Janet needs to come back now harder than ever- use his death positively as her launching pad to revive her career.

    Everyone in the world just wants something as close as possible to MJ- and Janet is the closest thing the world has now.

    @Giselle, I agree with you. She has influenced me more musically than Michael Jackson. I like her better than MJ. Although she is not as successful, she is still an icon in her own right.

    JANET IS STILL POPULAR IN UK; SHE HAS NOT HAD ANY HITS THERE IN A WHILE; NO THE UK DOES NOT SEE HER AS JUST MICHAEL JACKSON LIL SISTER; THAT WAS A RUMOR WHICH IS WHY SHE WAS ASKED TO PERFORM ON X FACTOR FOR MJ WEEK AND ALSO ASKED TO PERFORM AT THE JINGLE BELL BALL; AND JANET JACKSON SINGS LIVE; SHE PRE-RECORDED X FACTOR CAUSE SHE HAD TO BE AT THE JINGLE BELL BALL THAT SAME NIGHT SO HER PERFORMANCE WAS PRE-RECORDED THE NIGHT BEFORE BUT SHE SINGS LIVE!! IF YOU ARE A FAN THEN YOU WOULD KNOW THAT SHE SINGS LIVE~~ THEY ALWAYS TRIED TO SAY THAT MICHAEL WAS LIP SYCHING ALSO, BUT NOT TRUE!! JANET IS A TRUE ICON AND LEGEND!!     I don’t feel Janet is capitalizing anything because she’s been working hard before the passing of Michael Jackson she released three albums since ’04. She’s showing no signs of slowing down.

    Janet Jackson will always be one of my favorite performers and she been proving to me that she can still put on a show. As far as Janet’s lip-syncing, this is a platform to lip-sync seeing that Janet doesn’t have a live band with her. Janet SINGS LIVE on tour! Janet usually have a band on her live performances but this show is susceptible. Janet is a true icon and legend. JANET JACKSON IS NOT BRITNEY SPEARS…Janet can handle both tasks; dancing and singing..LIVE.

    she’s the female artist of the decade,you can say what you want about her but she’s still doing her thing(and she’s not flopping…)she got the most successful tour by a female this year and she sings live sometimes

    @Tiffany, I am from the UK and Janet isn’t popular here. She has never had a top ten hit in the UK and her current greatest hits album is not even in the top 40. Most people hated her performance on The X Factor. I Don’t know why. I thought she was amazing!

    Hi there, Ia m from the UK and while Janet has not had a hit lately, she has had several op five hits and number 1 albums in the UK. You need to check it out, ‘Thats the way love goes’, The best things in life are free’, Together Again, (just to name a few) all went to number 2!
