Rap-Up.com || Video: Mariah Carey Honored for ‘Precious,’ Accepts Award Drunk

Mariah Carey was honored at the 2010 Palm Springs International Film Festival awards gala on Tuesday (Jan. 5). Precious director Lee Daniels presented his star with the Breakthrough Actress Performance award for her role as a social worker in the critically-acclaimed film.

MC seemed to celebrate a little too much because she appeared tipsy during her acceptance speech. “Please forgive me because I’m a little bit…” she trailed off before someone in the audience shouted, “Wasted!” to which she replied, “Yeah.” Actor Sean Penn made light of her entertaining speech, which can be seen in part below.

people talk like she cant be tipsy, she went from glitter to getting praise, and winning her second award for acting. She was the only one really supporting the movie, when Lee ran out of money, Mariah sung to raise money. When Monique wanted money to show up at film festivals and press eventd, Mariah went to ALLL of them for free. She has pushed and pushed this movie everywhere, she deserves to feel in her words, emancipated.

she acknowledged that she was tipsy, Mariahs one of the very few artist who keep it REAL. Kayne showed up to the red carpet with a bottle of henny, i guess that was okay. Give her a break, she aint hurt anyone, like some of the drunken celebs who have done far worst.
