Usher Lets Teens Direct His Music Video

Usher

Usher is letting teens call the shots on his latest music video. The R&B superstar has teamed up with got noise? from Body by Milk to give 20 lucky teenagers the chance to direct a video for “More” from his new album Raymond vs. Raymond.

The clips were shot last month in Los Angeles and the aspiring directors coordinated all aspects of production from concept to creation. Watch both videos below and vote for your favorite here.

I heard that the videos were actually shot to a different song. It was after the shoot that the old song needed to be taken away.

I don’t know, its still very well shot. With all the logistics that come in a Hollywood shoot, its actually pretty impressive teens could pull it off.

    Okey Dokey…… :?

I get and like the whole idea, and concept of the project itself, can’t really see other artists letting young people shoot their videos and I’m sure any young person interested in video production would jump at the chance to shoot a video.

As mista_f claims, it was actually shot to a different song, so maybe the initial idea was actually better, and this video fits the lyrics of that particular track.

Cos I doubt it very much they were unable to listen to a song a make a video which relates….unless they are like 10 or have special learning needs.

Cos what we have there is pretty whack in terms of music fitting the video, I’m sure there is a message behind their shots.

But errr good effort……now just make me more anxious to see the official video.

@PurpleO, yup. we didn’t have the song day of shoot. They changed it on us. so no wonder the concept didn’t go with this song.

These music videos are not the official music video for Usher’s new song “More” these videos were created by some teens selected for the Got-Noise program. It’s a cool program (kind of unique) that gave teens from all over the country the chance to go out to Hollywood, and create a music video for Usher. The videos were just created for this competition & they are online so America can vote.
