Rap-Up.com || Video: Rihanna & Maxwell Perform on ‘Oprah’ Haiti Special

Oprah dedicated Wednesday’s show (Jan. 20) to Haiti. Wyclef Jean shared his devastating eyewitness account from his home country, while Rihanna performed “Redemption Song” and Maxwell sang “Fistful of Tears.”

The Barbados native explained why she chose Bob Marley’s song. “Growing up, anytime there was a really difficult situation, I always listened to this song ’cause it was so liberating, and even now I listen to it when my back is up against the wall,” she said. “I feel like the people of Haiti need to hear something inspiring.”

ri seemed like she was pushed to tears and was fighting hard to hold back from crying, haiti is close to her very own roots in the caribbeans so touching and i could feel the deep emotions that was on that oprah stage with all of them!!!!

this is so hard watching , and it is good to see so many peoples input, i keep listining to the song ri and it is very touching . everyone knows that marley was one of our greats and no one could do it better than he could but the though of the song being so important to you for a long time is just beautiful, bob would be proud, because you could have done any song but i love your choise of this song and i will get it !!!!!
