Rap-Up.com || Video: Usher – ‘Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)’

Usher has a special delivery for his girl, played by French model and actress Noémie Lenoir, in the Chris Robinson-directed video for “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home),” the first single from his sixth studio album Raymond v. Raymond, due March 30. Even though it’s been a minute since his last video, the ladies man still knows how to bust a move.

Usher is a dance instructor for these chicks and his girls waitin for him to come home lol. whats not to get like lets be serious. Im not being ignorant the concept goes exactly with the song but the song is not a good usher comeback it just isnt. They only had one choice of concept really it isnt that type of song where u can choose from many concepts so they had to go with the most obvious. Shit is getting old.

Lol notice how this post is basically *DEAD* with comments. I think this video is pretty much self explanitory. We get it. But by any means this is not a big usher comeback record. 1st thing is that Noemie Lenoir is beyond beautiful. Its too bad they didn’t put her to good use. The video is really boring and waaay too safe. It looks like something left over from the other albums. Usher has got to come harder than that. Nothing was impressive. THe song is just OK so they should have put out a stellar video to sell the song. And they failed. The concept sucks and the video is just really lack luster. It’s too bad.

Everybody totally missed the concept of the video. It’s two different storylines. One is him playing a business man that’s off doing business while his wife (Noemie Lenoir) is at home lonely and missing him. The second storyline is about his comeback to the music industry with this new album, so he is rehearsing with his backup dancers. In that second storyline he is saying his fans miss him and he’s back. (Thank God cuz he was surely missed) Ya’ll don’t even know what ur talkin about just wanna rag on the dude. It’s ok, U can love Trey and Ush and Chris! It don’t have to be one or the other ppl!

I think this might be one of his worst videos to date i mean nobody is talking about this video saying this is a good comeback or nothing. With Ushers status he should be a trending topic on twitter and hes not because the video is nothing special. This was supposed to be his big comeback single and album, with this single its not gonna be. The reality of it is that people aint feelin this video. If this video was so good this post would be flooding with comments but its not.

@Drake is dating Trey Songz, First off twitter is the number one way for artists to sell big records again because of promoting and people following the artists. Trey Songz Ready album sold way more than his label expected and all because of twitter. I am an Usher fan and ive been listening to his music since childhood and im very disapointed with this video. The song is a hit but it needed that video that everyone was gonna love like Yeah, Love in this club, etc. This by any means is not a comeback video. Chris Robinson who directed this video can do wayyy better than this, if Lil X had directed this video i guarantee you that everyone would love it. The first single can make or break an album so we shall see how it goes.

Trey songz sells more than his label was expecting not because of his tweets but because he is always half naked in his video and because he is effing with Drake , the “it” rapper of the moment this is it.
I’m glad that trey got the success he diserves but I’m kinda ashamed of the way he got it.

Usher’s video show them yo buck what class is. You can bee sexy without being half naked…and chris Robinson did a great job with this one
You can say what you want about twitter or not twitter but Usher is an R&B legend and his album will sell cause he gives fans (not blog trolls) what they want and this song gonna be number 1 in a few weeks

If this was a big record he would be in top 10 without a video even being released yet. Iyaz a new first time artist didnt even have a video out and was #2 on the billboard hot 100, that just shows what a song can do without the video. This song isnt gonna be number one on billboard probobly top 20 thats it.

Anyway to anyone who lost faith in Usher, he will come back. He will still succeed. His career is not over and he is one of the biggest stars in Rnb. Nobody is ever going to outclass this guy’s talent b/c we know how many monster hit’s he has had in the past and yes people I still hear the old classics on the radio every now and then (Nice and Slow, U remind me, U got it bad, U don’t have 2 call, Burn, My Boo, Yeah, etc.) Don’t be quick to dismiss this guy or give up on him because of his personal life. Get over it. The video is classy and it has an old school 80′s 90′s vibe.
