Lil Wayne is not “goin’ in” just yet. The Cash Money rapper’s sentencing has been postponed for a third time.
Weezy was scheduled to appear in a Manhattan courtroom today to be sentenced to one year in prison for attempted gun possession. He won’t face a judge now until Monday, March 8, because the courthouse is still closed due to fire damage.
This is the third delay in the case. The first adjournment was caused by dental surgery, where he underwent eight root canals. On Tuesday, a fire forced the evacuation of the Manhattan Criminal Court where he was to be sentenced, resulting in another rescheduled date.
Wayne is currently in New York awaiting sentencing. Last night, he made an appearance during Young Jeezy’s set at Madison Square Garden, performing “I’m Goin’ In” alongside Drake and Nicki Minaj.
