Remembering B.I.G.: 13 Years Later

Notorious B.I.G.

Thirteen years ago hip-hop lost one of its greatest talents. On the anniversary of his death, we remember the legendary Notorious B.I.G. Check out some vintage footage of a 17-year-old Biggie during his early days rapping in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, to one of his now classic videos for “Hypnotize.”

We’ll always love Big Poppa.

    damn duke, 13 years already. there isn’t a day when one of your songs doesnt play. 13 years, and i can honestly say, i listen to at least one song of yours a day. hip hop died with you. hov ripped your style. nas sold himself short. em became a druggie. wu fell off. fuck suge and puff. dumb ass niggas had their beef so you had to suffer. you were the greatest, and not because your dead now. because i still have the ready to die and life after death lps in my collection. rip big, damn if only you were here. i remember meeting you, can’t believe someone would take your life away. not trying to be no dick rider, but damn, life is too short, and tomorrow is never promised. rip.
