Rap-Up.com || Drake Shoots ‘Over’ Video in Los Angeles

Drake hopped a plane from his hometown of Toronto to sunny Los Angeles, where he is shooting the video for “Over” today.

Rap-Up.com has learned that Anthony Mandler is directing the clip for the first single from Drizzy’s debut album Thank Me Later. The filmmaker has helmed videos for Rihanna (“Russian Roulette”), Beyoncé (“Irreplaceable”), Jay-Z (“Run This Town”), and Mary J. Blige, for which he teamed up with the Canadian artist on “The One.”

The Boi-1da produced “Over” is currently No. 15 on the iTunes Top Songs chart, while the album is tentatively scheduled for a May release.

This videos gonna be fire. i dont normally like Anthony Mandler videos but i think hes the director that will best capture the essense of this song in a video.

This video is going to be very good (I hope). This is a monumental song, it is that good, and with a good song there needs to be an outstanding video. I bet “Over” will be in the top 10 on Billbord, no doubt. YMCMB.

A dope concept for the chorus part of the video would be all the top rap artists around him in some kind of party setting… like Jay, Kanye, TI, etc… but that’d be big money to spend to make that happen..but it would definitely be dope… “Theres way too many people in here right now that i didnt know last year… Who the fuck are ya’ll~~~~”
