New Music: Lloyd f/ Mystikal – ‘Set Me Free’
Lloyd, who departed Irv Gotti’s The Inc. last year, joins the Interscope roster and releases the appropriately titled “Set Me Free,” featuring recently freed rapper Mystikal. The R&B singer revealed why he decided not to put out his fourth album on Young Money.
“Baby and Wayne were definitely the first people to reach out to me. I talked to them about a deal. That’s who I thought I’d end up with in my heart,” Lloyd told MTV News. “The problem is that Young Money/Cash Money is exclusive to Universal Motown. As you and I know, that’s where I did my last two albums. I wasn’t excited about going back.”

Thats the smartest move Lloyd could have made. interscope will be a great home for him and its about time his career takes off cause dude is talented. Its a wrap for the Inc , Irv Gotti is a dumbass. Had all that talent and hit albums and got into stupid legal trouble. I guarantee if lloyd was with another label from the jump his career would have taken off back when he dropped You with Lil Wayne. The problem was that they didnt promote him well.
