Drake showcases his R&B side on The-Dream-assisted “Shut It Down,” a slinky Noah “40” Shebib and Omen production from his debut album Thank Me Later. If he wasn’t popular enough with the opposite sex, this is sure to gain Drizzy even more female fans.
A “Sample Clearance Only” version previously leaked, but someone went through the painstaking process of removing the tags so you can enjoy it until the final version arrives.

This should have been the first single. They prob thought it was better, but were juat swayed by “Over” cus it sounds like “Best I Ever Had”

I think that its going to be a great song. Its obviously not finished, and I think I heard somewhere that Drake is supposed to rap that second verse. There isn’t really a second verse in this version, just mumbling. The choruses are strong, and I think the final product will be a smash.

this is pretty boring…it sounds like all the other of drakes slow songs and the dream is so over rated..i agree about the drums too. This music doesn’t push any boundaries. He has the ability to be good if he stops doing the same shit over and over and over.

nice song. hate the cursing tho it throws off the flow of the song and this sounds like it was written for Marques Houston

I’m really not sure why people are saying this is a smash. I think alot of people are just big Drake fans and don’t want to be disappointed because IMO this song is pure trash.
The beat sounds really off and the song is just all over the place.
I wasn’t too hot about Over either. So far it’s looking like his mixtape is better than this album.

this song is pretty sick. even though its not finished yet the song is still nice for the women. drake is very talented for the way he forms his music as in mixing singing and rapping in his songs…very vital.
