Rap-Up.com || Chef Kelis Serves Up Dinner at WMC

In addition to being an entertainer and mother, Kelis can also hold it down in the kitchen. The “Acapella” singer put on her chef’s hat and prepared a meal for 36 people at the W South Beach in Miami for Belvedere Vodka’s Cocktail Pairing Dinner during Winter Music Conference on Thursday evening (March 25).

The Le Cordon Bleu culinary school graduate cooked duck salad, red snapper, and bread pudding for her guests, including label exec Jimmy Iovine. Yum!

The chef puts the finishing touches on her first course. Bon appétit!

“I love to cook,” the gracious host told Rap-Up.com. “It’s such a great outlet.”

Kelis cooked for her boss, Interscope Geffen A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine and his son Jamie.

Guests listened to Kelis’ album Flesh Tone while dining in the Miami breeze.

Smart chick – that’s what you call business acumen! You mix (or disguise) business with pleasure. Slide over the duck salad, while asking for additional funds for the next video – Smart!!!

I digs Kelis, and have loved her since Kaleidoscope. She is taking care of business, and hopefully the industry will recognize what a unique talent she is!

Yes Kelis gone head. Omg thats the head of Interscope, I hope he gives her a lot of promo like he is giving Lady GaGa because Kelis deserves it. I love Kelis & can not wait to buy her new album!

WOW i didn’t know that she went to culinary school. .I’m currently attending one. OMG I hope she opens a restuarant in Miami or LA!! & yay Interscope will be behind her 100%! Finally a label has taken notice of such an amazing talented and humble icon!

Omg Kelis can throw down in the kitchen great to see she dosent mind getting her hands dirty!!!! I absolutely love her talent she’s unique and stands out.Love the single Acapella and the Avatar like dimensions.
