Bruno Mars Steps Into Spotlight with Debut EP![]() Bruno Mars captured the attention of listeners and the Billboard charts with his show-stealing turn on B.o.B’s chart-topping hit “Nothin’ on You,” and now the multi-faceted star is forging ahead with his own solo career.
On May 11, Elektra Records will release It’s Better If You Don’t Understand, the debut EP from Bruno Mars. The Hawaiian-born singer/songwriter/producer makes up one-half of the production duo The Smeezingtons, known for their work with Flo Rida (“Right Round”) and Brandy (“Long Distance”). Mars is also hard at work recording his full-length debut album, slated to drop later this year. In the meantime, he can also be heard on Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire,” also helmed by The Smeezingtons. “If you like ‘Nothin’ on You’ and you like ‘Billionaire,’ that’s what you’re going to get,” he told EW.com. “You’re going to get these melodies. And I’m going to be singing the shit out of it.” TweetYou can leave a response, or trackback from your own site. 11 CommentsLeave a Reply

he has a great voice. looking forward to his project. they really need to work on his image and making people remember who he is – hopefully the music will help, but it will take a strong marketing/branding effort as well.

I Am Looking Forward To The EP Album, But I Would Like It If These Artist Stop With This Whole EP Thing, It Is A Waste Of CD’s… And He Doesn’t Need To Change His Look At All, He Is Alright With The Way That He Is, And He Sounds Like A Mixture Between Michael Jackson, and Jason Mraz, And You Could Never Go Wrong With That… Bruno Mars For 2010.

Bruno Mars is coming up, better watch out. I don’t think he needs to change his image at all. That’s what makes him great he is your normal, funny, down to earth guy and he shouldn’t change that for hollywood or anyone else. I hope he doesn’t conform and he stays true to himself. He’s awesome the way he is!

his image needs a lot of work? what, like Lady Gaga or Nicki Minaj? He needs to wear ultra-fabulous boots with crazy face paint to appeal to all those superficial airheads that say they love the music? FOH

If he needed to change his image, he wouldn’t even be getting recognised right now. At the end of the day it’s the talent that matters, and the true fans adore him whatever he wears.. personally I wouldn’t mind seeing him wear nothing at all but yano!
