M.I.A. has been grabbing the spotlight lately with her new music and controversial comments. Now meet her 18-year-old protégée Rye Rye, who she signed to her label N.E.E.T. Recordings.

In Part 1 of our interview, the Baltimore MC talks to Rap-Up TV about her energetic debut album Go! Pop! Bang!, due this summer, collaborating with M.I.A., Pharrell, Tyga, Blaqstarr, and Diplo, not knowing who M.I.A. was the first time they met, and the “Paper Planes” hitmaker’s motherly instincts.

Thats big working with Pharrell on your first album. Not many artists get to work with the big producers on there debut albums. Im curious to hear what the sound of her album will be like.
