Rap-Up.com || Meet the New Pussycat Dolls

Nicole Scherzinger joined her new groupmates for their first performance together as the new Pussycat Dolls at a private event in Los Angeles on Friday night (May 21). Original members Melody Thornton, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, and Kimberly Wyatt announced their departure from the platinum group earlier this year.

“I am so thankful for everything the Pussycat Dolls has brought into my life,” Kimberly said in an interview. “I love being a Doll, but as far as the variables off-stage are concerned—I just couldn’t do it anymore.”

The new PCD lineup includes Kherrington Payne, Vanessa Curry, James Lee Ruiz, and Rino Nakasone-Razalan.

EPIC Fail on Robin mAntins behalf. You cant replace the original PCD… there gunna loose A LOT of their core fanbase because of this, and also, nicole needs to get off this sinking ship whilst she still can! In the meantime i hope Kimberly keeps killin it with her music (1st single went top 5 in the UK) and Jessica Sutta is releasing something in July… ALL of my support lies with the original girls, not the PCD Clones we have now

Too bad they wanted to make nicole the absolute leader and the group felt down because of that… Now it’s gonna be weird, and it seems too fake. Anyway they should put out the best album to re-conquer the fanbase. I wish they will cause the previous PCD albums were pretty good.

Lame… Plus It’s basically just Nicole and backup dancers so what’s the point of adding 4 new girls? That is why the others were so frustrated. Just give Nicole another chance to go solo. that’s what it already is and everyone has always been able to see that. Time for Iovine to step in and make a sensical decision.

@ponyo this isn’t a dc repeat bc after farrah left the group all the ladies sang lead on the survivor/destiny fufilled album also nicole going solo please don’t get me started we all saw what happened with the last so called solo album nicole should just give up shes not going to be able to transition from a group to a successful solo artist bc no one else has been able to do it except the queen b herself and justin timberlake imo this group used to be the ish now there a joke congratulations nicole you now have 4 new back up dancers.

I do believe that this new version of the PCD wont be better than the old. That will be very untrue for the new ones to interpret the old songs of the group. Anyway, hope Im wrong cause PCD are totally part of the Music World now.

Btw, I dont see any “black” women in there anymore … Too Bad.

Listen Melody is the best singer of the PCD but they never gave her the chance to sing, i like to hear some music from her, niclo is good only in the group when shes doing music on her own they stink but if she wanna go solo she can use the same producer that make the pcd albums, and this new girl they look UGLY

I still don’t understand why they never let Nicole just get her solo career on. She’s a very talented singer, but she’s just one of those artists who don’t belong in a group. Ever since the beginning of PCD, it’s just been Nicole with backup dancers basically. Hopefully this time around we can hear other voices in the song besides Nicole, cause I honestly don’t think it’s a group if all the talents aren’t being recognized.

all of these new girls are purely dancers, they know what they’re getting into. I think that they will be equally as great as the old pcd, but the old pcd will always have a special place in my heart.

Rino is from Beat Freaks, Kherington is from SYTYCD, Vanessa was an LA Lakers dancer and Jamie use to dance for the Knicks and was a contestant on PCD Presents: Girlicious.

Jamie will be ab-libbing like Melody most likely

i cant believe they have resorted to this….i miss the old gang and they were so talented and danced amazingly im shocked also about melody going, her parts in the songs wont sound right when they sing there old parts,…. i don’t think it will work, there all young and Nicole is the oldest b4 hand they were around the same age, i just think its an insult to the old members, they should of made them have singing parts as they all song rather focusing on nicole all the time, its not her fault Nichole its robins, as she wanted her to be the lead singer, plus they look ugly these dolls compared to the others

Honestly, I agree with a lot that’s being said. Seeing them live I was shocked at how great their voices were, b/c you never hear them sing really. It was a pleasant suprise. I don’t agree with everyone saying they will fail. I think this is one of those groups that as long as everyone is talented, you can make it work. That being said, we’ll see when the first single and video is released. At least we kno the dancing will be incredible.

its sad to see a successful group fall apart. lets not blame Nicole. if shes always on the spotlight its because that’s what the music LAbel and manager asked for. lets be honest the only singer from the group was Nicole and Melody the rest was just there to fill in the blanks (back up dancers). but regardless those girls that left the group wouldn’t be where they are in life if it wasn’t for PCD. i just hope that nicole and the old memebers of PCD can work out their differences and remain good friends.

The girl on the far right is hot!!!! and where did they get the harijuku asian from??? (the one with the red and black hair)??? This seems a little phony to me. Too bad Melody Thorton didn’t have a chance to sing in the group, here vocal went to waste… as for the other 3 girl never knew who they were.

Kherrington can sing? I only knew her as a dancer from So You Think You Can Dance… I hope things change with PCD.

Like actually let the others single at least half of the times. Nicole takes up maybe 90% of the leads. I kno she is the leader, but I hate that. What is the point of the group if the others don’t sing.

I hope Melody, Kimberly, and the rest get somewhere

Rino Nakasone is one of the best female dancers and choreographers in the industry right now. She is so much better than the glorified booty shaking that PCD does. Maybe with her in the group, we will see some real dancing and not just the typical video ho crap that Nicole, et al. is famous for.

I’m a huge PCD fan and don’t get me wrong, but Rino(from Beat Freaks) is way too good to be a part of PCD. Her dancing ability shoots way above PCD booty shaking and chest pumping choreography. It’s just sad that she’ll be wasting her time dancing in the shadows of Nicole. I guess she’ll fit in though, I went to her dance class yesterday and I saw her in person. She is soooo pretty and she didn’t or barely had any makeup on.

I feel like these new girls are too talented to be in PCD. They have so much talent but it’ll be unappreciated if they keep on having just Nicole in the spotlight. sighhh

I LOOOOOOOVE my girl Rino, and all I gotta say is this: if ONE OF THOSE “DOLLS”–especially miss “DIVA”– tries to pull ANYTHING, I hope that “doll” knows exactly what she will be getting herself into! Rino has 7 girls that have her back no matter what, and she ALSO has millions of fans that will gladly slap that “doll” silly! Don’t mess with our Rino! Congrats!!!! :D
