New Music: M.I.A. - 'Haters'

M.I.A. is firing back at a journalist after a cover story on her appeared in this weekend’s New York Times Magazine. The “XXXO” singer claims that she was misquoted in the piece and has posted recordings from the chat on her website.

The electronic song, which does not appear on the tracklisting for her third album ///Y/, samples English dubstep duo Various’ “Hater,” and tackles politics, America, journalists, racists, and other sensitive topics.
