Kelly Rowland goes head-to-head with herself in a heated dance-off in the video for “Commander,” the first single from her third solo album. The club record was produced by David Guetta and written by Rico Love, who both make cameos in the Masashi Muto-directed clip, choreographed by Fatima Robinson.

“The whole concept is very futuristic, very cool. It’s about me being the commander above anything, but it adds a different element of a club atmosphere—a very big atmosphere with very cool people,” Kelly told Rap-Up TV. “I’m battling myself with hair, with makeup, with the routines. I had to pull out my dancing shoes for this video.”

This video was pretty good. Only thing I didn’t like was that she wasn’t dancing fast enough to the song. I still think the video is unfinished, cause the scene at the end looks like it should be the beginning for some weird reason. LOL. Other than that the video was pretty good.

This is a really good song but i definately think the video could have been way better. I think she should have gotten a more known music video director and came up with a better concept. The video doesnt really put her in a lane where people will respect her as her own artist. I always thought Kelly could make it big hopefully the song will blow up now that the video is released.
