Rap-Up.com || 50 Cent Is a Lady Gaga Fan, Compares Lil Wayne’s Fashion to Cyndi Lauper

50 Cent doesn’t like everyone he meets. Just ask Rick Ross or Fat Joe. But 50 has given his stamp of approval to Lady Gaga and is even open to a collaboration with the eccentric star.

“Yeah, I would like to work with her. It’d be cool,” 50 revealed to Rap-Up.com of his bold labelmate.

The rapper admires the pop superstar, whose “Alejandro” video debuted yesterday, for her risk-taking. “I think she’s fresh. I haven’t seen that before. What she’s doing now is new, with all the crazy dress codes and all that stuff.”

While Gaga may be setting trends, 50 has noticed some of his fellow rappers recycling fashion. “A lot of things in music/entertainment are recycled,” he said. “It’s gonna sound like a diss, but it’s no disrespect that you would see Lil Wayne wear a little black vest and that hat. I saw Cyndi Lauper wearing that; it was [just] on a different artist. And even the glasses that Jay-Z had on, that is Frank Sinatra. These are all iconic pieces coming back.”

50 is currently on tour and in the process of recording his next album, which he says will have a more soulful sound.

Damn, 50 cent is nice right now, after he told that he liked Drake or Kanye’s music, now he’s nice with Gaga, Jay-Z & Wayne! Maybe a new 50! And his next album will be a soulful album, so he’s changing, and in the right way, can’t wait to hear the new 50!

I think it would be good to see the two Native New Yorkers work together from the pop and rap arean. However, I noticed 5o cent made a comment about Diddy and his performance and album “sucked”. Although, I did not hear his whole entire album I thought his video with the dirty girls with the firework background was excellent. This was a similar background Diddy used when he made the video at shea stadium with his homeboy where both of them where wearing rolex watches displayed. And, I believe his homeboy in that video with Diddy became a preacher if I’m not mistaken. Anyway, I did recall 50 cent said Diddy’s marketing stategy regarding recruiting individuals in different groups is a good marketing strategy for business, but he then say for the rap industry(I believed 50 cent meant rapping) it is not so good or at least something relating to that matter. Anyway, I would like to say rap is an evolutionary form of music which is constantly changing. This also goes for pop singing as well which is why lady gaga has attracted her fans and the media with her new apparel just to name one example of her new contribution in evolutionary progress in pop singing. This method approach of hers is no different in what the rap artists do regarding originality. Lastly, it is clear that rap is also changing in its scope in various marketing manners perceivable. And, sometimes it is not seen until an effective amount of attention is focused on it. This observation is the same as Diddy’s marketing strategy as an artist and should not be overlooked due to personal reasons or just a reason. Remember, knowledge is power. Good luck with your team-up with lady Gaga 50 cent. I believe it will be a good Native New York combination.
