Dre Day is finally upon us. Six years in the making, Dr. Dre releases leaks the first single from the album everyone’s been waiting for, Detox. The hip-hop icon shows that the East Coast vs. West Coast beef is just water under the bridge by enlisting Brooklyn boy Jay-Z on the Scott Storch production. Was it worth the wait? Note that this is unlikely the final version.
C’MON SON! NOW DR. DRE KNOWS DIS IS STR8 DOO-DOO. ITS GARBAGE W/ THE WATERY JUICE @ THE BOTTOM, NO… ITS STR8 POO-POO. I’M VERY DISAPPOINTED W/ THIS TRACK. W/ ALL THE HYPE SURROUNDING IT & IT TURNS OUT 2 BE HOT TRASH IS WHAT FURTHER INCREASES MY DISAPPOINTMENT. WE BEEN WAITIN ON THIS MAN 4 LIKE 10YRS & THIS IS WHAT HE HITS US W/. I’M TIRED OF THESE LAZY ARTISTS THAT KEEP YOU WAITNG ONLY 2 SPRING FUCKERY ON THE FANS. EVEN JAY WAS HORRIBLE ON THIS. THIS IS INSANE. EVERYTHING WAS BAD. I’M GIVING UP ON RAP.
The people saying this is bad yall r simple minded cause the song is not even finished. The beat is crazy so just imagine when the mixed and mastered one drops. This is gonna be a banger. Im cosigning this record right now so when this does well on the charts i dont want the same people saying Oh this songs crazy now. Just sit back and watch how the pros do it.
Damn… what is it with artists coming back from long hiatuses putting out garbage albums? Christina Aguilera, and now Dre… I hope Justin Timberlake’s next album isn’t garbage either, or I will stop hoping for Lauryn Hill to come out of retirement, cause I would not want her to make a comeback with a crappy album.
Dr Dre should stop to make rap! He’s not in the loop anymore! His productions on relapse were aweful, and on recovery (Masterpiece btw), so bad sounds a lot like a t.i song. And here his flow is annoying.
I reckon this is 1 of the many tracks that have been discarded from the Detox album. The beat doesn’t even sound like a Scott Storch production. There is lyrically no reference(s) in this song to consider it is “Under Pressure”. Should be on a mixtape.
