Rap-Up.com || BET Awards ’10: Show & Audience

After last year’s event was panned by viewers, the pressure was on for BET to step up its game for the 10th Annual BET Awards. The black star power was bright at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium as Prince received the Lifetime Achievement Award, Chris Brown shed tears for the King of Pop, Kanye West and T.I. returned to the stage, and newcomers Drake and Nicki Minaj won big.

An absent Beyoncé and Lady Gaga took home top honors, winning Video of the Year for the Hype Williams-directed “Video Phone (Extended Remix).” “Thank you so much for my first BET award ever, with Honey B! Videophone won VIDEO OF THE YEAR! Paws up for B! X Mother Monster,” tweeted Gaga.

Last year was terrible with Jamie Foxx running the whole show.

Thanks to Chris, Drake, Nicki, Trey, Alicia, most of the Prince tribute (minus Janelle Monae’s yelping and that random chick), and Diddy, Dawn and others (lol) the show was spot on.

I use to love Bey but now im just tired of her.But i dont think she and Lady gaga should of won the song was terrible but them two together odd pair.But Monica shouldn’t of won people know what The Centric award mean.The Nominees was Sade,John Legend, Chrestte Michelle, how the hell did she win don’t know.But the Bet awards is getting worse i wish that it wasnt but they dont put their hearts into the show anymore
