Rap-Up.com || Rap-Up TV: Keri Hilson Has Surprises in Store on Second Album

Keri Hilson has been tucked away in the studio recording her sophomore album, due later this year. Although she wouldn’t reveal too much when pressed for details at IGA’s “Crème of the Crop” dinner on Sunday, Miss Keri did say to expect surprises and that her fans will be very happy with the outcome.

“I’ve been in the studio with a lot of special people, a lot of big names, but a lot of talented people as well,” she told Rap-Up TV. “It’s all about new inspiration that I have and just getting all the ideas that I’ve been collecting out, so it’s time.”

She also responded to reports that she’s been working with Dr. Dre and shared what it was like to collaborate with fellow ATLien T.I. on his single “Got Your Back,” for which a video is being shot.

Something tells me that Keri Hilsons second album is gonna be BIG. Im puting money on it. I think this will be the album that secures her as an artist and will gain a bigger fanbase. If shes working with Dr Dre, Timbo, Danja and Polow i can only expect something crazy. Her album is gonna be problem i can feel it.

Last time i checked Keri Hilsons In a Perfect World went past Gold in less than 5 months and shes only one album deep in the game when Ciaras Fantasy Ride hasnt even gone Gold after more than a year. R U SERIOUS? And she was 3 albums deep. Fantasy Ride sold 10,000 copies less than In a perfect World and that was Ciaras third album smfh. No excuses for that shit.

So Ciara stans dont even begin with that hoopla cause u sound stupid. Watch when Basic Flopstinct dont sell yall gon be MAD!!!!! #THATISALL

guys,stop hatin’, huh? i love ciara’s latest album, can’t get why it was such a flop for her, i liked almost every track on it, though there are not many standouts. keri…keri is amazin’. she’s one of the most talented songwriters i ever seen. and she has eveolved considerably for the last year. i’m not as excited about her new record as i was when IAPW was to come out. but i still think that the album will be great. she’s doin her thang. she’s gonna show yall! her label knows what to put their money in. in comparison to ciara’s Evolution, there’s not a track on keri’s album that i wanted to skip. though, there are some tracks on evolution that i really adore (like “so hard” and “my love”). but the whole album is not an A, keri’s is way better
