Rap-Up.com || New Music: Waka Flocka Flame f/ Ciara

Ciara jumps on the remix to Waka Flocka Flame’s “Hard in da Paint.” The usually humble singer takes the opportunity to do some boasting. “First name multiplatinum, last name triple threat/ Seven years in the game and I ain’t even finish yet,” she raps, while finally giving up the goodies (“I used to be the one with the goodie jar, now them goodies taste better when they in ya.”)

Ciara has also moved up her release date. Instead of dropping Basic Instinct on August 24, the album will now be released a week earlier on August 17.

I dont know why i feel like this is fantasy ride era all over again. Just too much similarities. Release date changes, flop first single, hoppin on hot tracks as promo.
Come on now Jive need to use there power to give ciara some real promo because who the hell they think gonna listen to a Wocka Flocka track. @MEME I actually agree with you. I’m a big Ciara fan, and she’s such a great person, but she doesn’t have the right promotion going on at all. Like right now would be the perfect time for a uptempo second single, cause she only has around a month and a half til’ the release date. This promo song is really good though, but right now I’m ready for something new and official to premiere. But she did say that promo is fixing to start, so I guess I just need to be patient. LOL. I do wish Ciara all the best though, and I will for sure be getting copy of Basic Instinct.

1st of all, Ride hasn’t flopped. If anything it’s topping R&B/Hip Hop, Urban, & stomping down on airplay. 2, why would she been had promoted, when her single is doing so well w/o promotion? If she can get it to well w/o promotion, then start promotion it, that actually gives her single more of a chance, to keep moving up the charts think about it. 2, Better work she can sing, don’t talk what you don’t know. Yeah people throw the word “Flop” around so easily. This is a new era in music where music in general is in a struggle to sell. It’s EXTREMELY rare to sell over 200,000. Albums dont sell like they use to. Nowadays it’s all about digital sales and radio play. Which ciara is doin both. Her music video was #1 sold on itunes for about a week n held it down on top 10 for a minute (now number 16) she’s #5 on hot R&B/Hip hop, #7 urban, and slowly climbin the hot 100.
