Rap-Up.com || Keyshia Cole Duets with Tank on New Album

Keyshia Cole has been in and out of the lab, recording her new album while juggling motherhood. The Grammy-nominated songstress, who gave birth to her first child in March, is teaming up for a duet with R&B singer Tank.

“Toxic” Donald Alford, the producer behind “Trust,” her collaboration with Monica, spoke with Rap-Up.com about his latest work for Keyshia’s fourth album, due later this year. “We’re doing a lot of new records for her. We got a hot record coming with her and Tank in the future, so ya’ll can be on the lookout for that,” he revealed.

Fans of “Trust” will be pleased with the new offering. “I produced ‘Trust’ so it’s somewhere around there,” shared Toxic. “A slow ballad, duet type of record. I guess she comes to me for the duets.”

When asked if it would be a potential single, he replied, “Probably so. It’s a hot record, so you never know, but at the end of the day, I think it’s a gem.”

Keyshia returned to the stage, performing with B.o.B and Eminem at the BET Awards, for the first time since giving birth. “She’s very passionate about her music and it only brings out the best in me when I work with her,” added Toxic.

Not dissing Tank or anything, but considering the current state of R&B, hip-hop and urban music, she needs to reel in a big name for this her latest installment to be uber-successful.

Tanks one of the mist under rated rnb stars out there, his voice has got so much soul and most of his features “on my grind,take my time” have been good :) cant wait i hope he will get noticed more now

love me some tank, so looking forward to that song. not looking forward to keyshia’s album because the last one was so god awful. i’m happy she’s working with different people because if every album was timbaland, the neptunes, boi 1da, nicki minaj, kanye, etc. then r&b music would be boring as hell. well, contemporary r&b is already boring but still.

expand your minds and musical tastes.

The Producer is not named “TOXIC” Donald Alford…those are two producers..Frederick “TOXIC” Taylor is one, and Donald Alford is another that produced TRUST…however “TOXIC” also produced Tired of doing me but not with Donald but with N8.
