Rap-Up.com || Nicki Minaj Announces Album Release Date

Nicki Minaj is everywhere, except on her own album. But that’s about to change because the breakout star’s debut finally has an official release date.

Young Money’s First Lady will release her as-yet-untitled album during the week of Thanksgiving, known to be the busiest shopping week of the year in the U.S. “Yes. It’s time. November 23rd,” she told her followers on Twitter.

Her single “Your Love” is No. 1 on the Rap Songs chart for the second straight week. She became the first female artist, unaccompanied by another act, to reach No. 1 on the chart since Missy Elliott’s “Work It” spent 12 weeks at No. 1 in November 2002.

A video for “Your Love” was shot in Los Angeles over the Fourth of July weekend. The song, which samples Annie Lennox’s “No More ‘I Love You’s',” is the follow-up single to “Massive Attack.”

I will most definitely be copping this album!! I kinda hope “Massive Attack” is left off the album or is an iTunes bonus track. It’s not like I hate it, but, she should move on from her flop and pack the album with worthy hits.

it’ll be pushed back at least once. EVERY hip hop album these days gets pushed back — eminem, drake, the roots, t.i., etc. it’ll come out february/march IMO, so she’ll need another single and hope that her album can buck a bad trend. the first few months of the year are typically very slow in sales.

i think it could get pushed up not back becuse she has the number 1 rap song right bow and if her next single does good her label may make it go up so the buzz will be really big but that date is good very good marketing stategy

i hope this album is a overall better performance then that massive attack…i personally thot that was a very watered down performance that definitly needs a serious do over.. live up to the hype hun and hopefully u and swiss beatz can make it happen gud luck…

I Like the old school rap better the the new. Like Yo-Yo, MC Lyte and Big Daddy Kane and Father MC but the both have HIV I read and both are dead broke on welfare. Mc Lyte is still in the game and Yo-Yo still try to stay down for rap.
