A phone call from rapper Diamond helps Dondria get out of rehearsals early so she can kick it with her boo at a barbecue in the video for “Shawty Wus Up,” the second single from the So So Def singer’s debut album Dondria vs. Phatfffat (Aug. 17). Jermaine Dupri’s protégée has been tapped to open for Trey Songz and Monica on the “Passion, Pain & Pleasure Tour,” beginning Aug. 6.

This is a really great song, but I agree its not hype enough.
And I’m not downing Johnta or anything but It might would do a little better on the charts if they could have netted a big R&B name like Ne-Yo, Songz or Usher. But I know they stuck with him b/c he’s another protege of JD’s and all that.

I’ve been a fan of Dondria since DAY ONE. Her voice is amazing, but her songs and personality is so boring. So basic. :(

Diamond brought it! She always has a spark in her verses, dondria… im dissapointed. This was so weak, I didnt feel an ambition or fire coming from her at all, it looked like she wasnt trying, or like she was nervous. She was given this huge opportunity, and failed. She should be a back-up singer or demo recording artist. She has a great voice, but no fire. The guy was cool

I think the only way dondria can get some hype and get people looking her way is “SOULJA BOY”. I yall prolly saying WTF and oh hell naw.. But soulja boy has the internet on lock from all aspects. He have the twitter, youtube, ustream, WSHH, and etc on lock! And plus his beats and his corny lyrics are so catchy.. Thats what Dondria need right now. I would rather hear soulja boy on this track instead of diamond.

If JD or Dondria reading this, this is something you should look into.

smh it is a shame because vocally she is talented and right now she isnt doing anything to separate herself from wat is already out there. she should really consider trying to utilize her cabilities to the fullest and stop putting out crap like this because right now she is just another girl from the south putting out a “shawty” track

This girl is hot her voice is extremely good and this song is really hot, hope JD promote the hell out of her like he is suppose too, i don’t see him doing so her very first song was so amazing but i did not see her all over the place come on JD you been around to long i know you see what she up against dont worry about Bey and Rhi think about them later but outside of those greats she’s not up against anyone else that is barely hanging on to their careers, oh yeah i forgot about Lady G but then again she stands alone she is super amazing come on man use what you got!

That is not Jensen Atwood. That’s Johnta Austin. Same initials and facial features but it’s not him. Sorry. BTW I don’t think he would associate himself with such garbage. This song sunk faster than the Titanic!
