Rap-Up.com || Is Willow Smith the Next Rihanna?

Rihanna better watch her designer-draped back. Pint-sized fashionista Willow Smith is quickly making her mark on the fashion world with her daring style, and has plans to start her own clothing line.

Smith, who shares the same stylist as Rihanna, admires the elder star’s bold look. “Willow is definitely inspired by Rihanna’s style,” stylist Mariel Haenn tells HollywoodLife.com. “We make an effort to give Willow her own style, so as not to be a mini-version of Rihanna, but Willow really knows what she likes and what she doesn’t like, and she’s vocal about it.”

Her mother Jada Pinkett Smith wants to make sure her kids stand out from the crowd. “Jada said upfront that she didn’t want us to dress them like standard kids, like with Sesame Street T-shirts,” says Haenn. “And the kids really like dressing as adults and hope that adults will want to dress like them. But Jada will put her foot down if there’s something she doesn’t like, though if the kids really love it, she’ll usually let it pass.”

There are already talks of a clothing line for Will Smith’s nine-year-old daughter and her actor brother Jaden Smith. “With Rihanna, pretty soon after she came on the scene, you started seeing designers from Forever 21 to Gucci coming out with styles mimicking her look. We hope the same thing happens here, but I think the ultimate goal is for Willow and Jaden to have their own line.”

I would take you more seriously if you didn’t copy Kanye’s typing style. And how can something be both “childish” and “smart”? It’s either one or the other, it can’t be both.

Anyway, do I stop you from saying anything you like about Rihanna? No. I go on stories about artists I like, and I read unfavorable comments about them, too. Unless someone says something factually incorrect, I don’t say anything to them because they’re entitled to their opinions, whether they’re “hating” or not.

Hating would imply I’m jealous of Rihanna. I’m not. She doesn’t have anything I want, and anything she does have, there’s someone else who has it ten times more, and I usually have nothing against that person. You stans brand anyone who doesn’t like your idol as being a “hater”. Believe it or not, it is possible to dislike someone and think they’re terrible at their job without “hating” on them at all. Throwing out the “hater” excuse all the time is what looks childish.

And what I said is true. When has Eminem put out something for it to not have success? He doesn’t NEED other people to get a hit record, not especially at this point in his career where he is a tried and true veteran. Love The Way You Lie is his song, not Rihanna’s. So the success of it shouldn’t be credited to her. It really wouldn’t matter who sang on it, the song would’ve been a hit nonetheless, Rihanna didn’t do anything special with it. And I would say this if it were any other female singer featured on the track instead of her.

You stans have a hard time accepting facts that aren’t in favor of your idol, so naturally you stoop to the level of calling people who call it as they see it “haters”. That is pure childishness. I do give credit where it is due. Live Your Life was a T.I. song, yet Rihanna being featured on it did help its success. Umbrella was a smash hit because it was a fire track, not because Jay-Z was on it. His part was even cut out in some versions of the song that went on the radio.
