Rap-Up.com || Foxy Brown Says Nicki Minaj Is Winning

Lil’ Kim may not be in Nicki Minaj’s corner, but her longtime rival Foxy Brown is riding for the Young Money diva.

The Ill Na Na raised eyebrows during her show at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill when she rapped, “I’m the only Trini chick that can kick yard shit,” causing concertgoers to speculate whether she was taking shots at Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj, but Foxy said she has no problem with female rap’s breakout star.

“I actually applaud Nicki for it,” she told MTV News. “I think she’s doing an incredible job of branding herself. When you’re a boss bitch, you give it up. Send her a Chanel bag or something. If you’re winning, you’re winning. That’s just how I see it.”

While she did give Minaj props, she also cautioned female MCs not to mess with her. “I’m a beast on that mic,” she warned. “I don’t really think they want any problems with that.”

Unlike the Queen Bee, Fox doesn’t feel her peers need to pay homage to her. “I’m not even in that category ’cause I’m still one of the youngest female rappers in the game,” she said. “[Other rappers] may feel like that because they’re older, but I myself am still young.”

Foxy wasnt trying to hate at her BB concert. Kim & Keys are the only haters. Fox even stated later on in the interview the facts of why she said it. She said that she was the 1st and only chick to mix hardcore hip hop with dance hall and that she wanted nicki to stay off that. However, other than that she got nothin but love for nicki. Kim is a A class hater, a C class rapper(at least when she right her own shit), a L class celebrity, and a Z class eye candy. She need to sit down. She aint real. personally, i feel as if Fox is amongst the best female rappers in the game. whether shes dropped a hot album in years or not. my issue lies with the fact that rappers male or female are no longer story tellers, Nikki as pretty, and entertaining as she is, aint talking about nothing, shes just amusing, and americans love to be entertained. as far as paying homage is concerned, no one ever told kim to pay homage to roxanne shante, queen latifah, salt and pepa, miss melody, mia x, and so many other female rappers that were out before her, they just let her do her thing and shine. so whats the problem with letting this young girl shine. ok she wears colored wigs, and is knifed up too, but kim wasnt the first to do that, grace jones, minus the surgery was one of the baddest african american female entertainers of all time, also drag queens have been doing that for years, but is anyone saying that kim should pay homage to them? no! Foxy remains relevant because regardless of the adversity and controversy of which is her, along with a few other female rappers she is the bizness!
