Kelly Rowland has been swept up in the latest round of album pushbacks. The Destiny’s Child diva has yet another release date.
The as-yet-untitled third album from Rowland is now scheduled to arrive on November 2, Rap-Up.com has learned. The project, for which she’s collaborated with Ne-Yo, David Guetta, and Bangladesh, was previously set to drop a week earlier on October 26.
Ms. Kelly is currently in the Land Down Under for an international promo tour. She performed at the Optus Love Lounge in Sydney for the Australian launch of the iPhone 4 and has been visiting radio stations.
She was interviewed by The Daily Telegraph where she spoke about a new girl power anthem she recorded called “I’m That Chick.” She also hopes to write with “American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert.
Universal is pushing all of their artist’s albums back. First Nicki, then Cudi, and now Her!! What’s strange is Nick’s come out that month. So I really don’t know that Kelly will get much attention. Nonetheless she can’t do any worse than she has already has in the past. Only up.
stupid move with commander doing quite well here in europe! fuck the american market, she’ll never do it there she could be big in europe and do well with it…robbie williams has never been big in america, kylie was never that big in america and they are doing really good
and she should stop with those wannabe empowering woman songs when she is the one hold under a rock
they should release a dance-orientated album by now in europe if it does well, release a more urban sounding in the us
That’s disappointing for sure. Loves me some Kelly, but she got to get her act together. Hope this works out for her. I’m really pulling for her but at this rate I’m just getting tired of waiting…Please Kelly. Get it together!!!
keep in mind those dates were never confirmed by her, on press release or on her website but strictly from blogs who probably got the news from word of mouth. on a brighter note, November 02 makes her chances stronger of scoring a no. 01 on Billboard HOT 200 since there’s not much competition, besides Taylor Swift second week numbers.
^^ Why are you surprised by this??? Universal pushes back ALL their artists. Look at Mya. They pushed her back so much that she ended up exiting the label.
Quite honestly, Kelly and Motown Universal should release ” Unity ” as a single ! It may be from her last album but it’s the one song that the mass population would embrace … it’s a HIT !!!
Unity was a hit from the first day I heard it. How Kelly never pushed for this to be single is beyond me ! I hear this song at least 4 times a day on the radio because listeners keep requesting it in Toronto – love this track !
it’ll be lost in the shuffle because november/december are typically stacked with releases. kelly rowland fans are delusional if they thought she would do well with this album. NOBODY is checkin’ for her in the US.
Being apart of DC has done absolutely nothing for her career. How do you go from hit after hit and millions of albums sold as a part of the biggest urban girl group, to not even being able to score a hit on your own? I don’t get it. I know Bey was the star, but surely people liked Kelly too.
I don’t understand what they’re waiting for. They should have released it in the UK back when “Love takes over” was popular.
I agree with Tia-Bia … ” When Love Takes Over ” was the #1 international hit that should of been the first single (of many) off her complete album ! Kelly and her team dropped the ball with ” Unity ” as well. Amazing ballad that went straight to the Top 10 on AC in Canada with NO video or promotion … it’s a guaranteed hit song !!!
ppl need to stop blaming matthew knowles 4 kelly career he is not the singer she got know what she want to sing the producter she want to work wit dont blame mr.knowles
I agree with the other posters why doesn’t the label release Kelly’s album in Europe now! Why wait? Commander is doing very well in Europe she’s getting screwed over once again! I was really hoping next month to buy the album! I am a bit disappointed to be honest. I really don’t understand Universal’s decision.
UNITY is the answer for Kelly Rowland ! She really has to start performing this song live and get it out there !!! It has a very universal sound to it; crosses all genres. Why keep a hit record locked up ?

It’s official…Universal is officially just as bad a label for her as Music World/Sony was.
She’s the type of artist who can do well INDEPENDENTLY…one more pushback and I think she should do just that.

I’m rooting for Kelly, but I hope this teaches her AND other artists to SHUT THEIR MOUTH about dates until “all their ducks are in a row”.
It makes you look very bad, and I’m sure you lose fans/prospects with each pushback. So she betta bring it!
