Rap-Up.com || Lauryn Hill Dives Into Oceanos Festival

Lauryn Hill played for a crowd of more than 40,000 at the Festival Dos Oceanos 2010 in Lisbon, Portugal, on Saturday (July 31). The free concert, which also featured a set from Estelle, was to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Portuguese Republic.

After a medley of Fugees classics including “Ready or Not” and “Fu-Gee-La,” the braided-hair songstress delivered her own hits “Doo Wop (That Thing),” “Turn Your Lights Down Low,” and closed with “Killing Me Softly.”

Ms. Hill will return to the U.S. for the Rock the Bells Festival, which kicks off in Los Angeles on August 21. A previously unheard track called “Repercussions” leaked last month, causing some to wonder if the Grammy winner is about to stage a comeback.

i love lauryn but i don’t think she’s making a comeback. isn’t the reason she left b/c she felt too exposed and felt like she was being watched all the time? If she does come back, great. Will she be able to handle it, IDK.

@TeamMinaj that was probably the most ignorant comment i’ve ever read on rap-up. lauryn hill is a LEGEND. nicki is hot at the MOMENT. no disrespect to nicki, but if there were no lauryn then there might not be a nicki. lauryn hill could return to music today and still have a solid fanbase after all these years. smh you must be young.

Lauren’s Miseducation is a classic. These new girls dont have her style or sense of purpose….they are fly by nites…As for Lauren’s look, you have to have a sense of style to know sense of style….Lauren looks good….has a style not given to her by hip hop moguls or white folks…can u dig it???
