Rap-Up.com || New Music: Nina Sky – ‘The Other Side’ EP

After dropping “You Ain’t Got It (Funk That)” last month, Nina Sky returns with The Other Side, a 9-track EP they’ve spent half of 2010 crafting. The Queens natives have ditched the bluesy sounds heard on their debut album and put forth a collection of spunky pop tunes fit for the dance floor or gym.

DJ Yonny, Salaam Remi, Kidz in the Hall’s Double O, Damien Major, and David Berrie handle production duties, while rappers Melo-X and Naledge of Kidz in the Hall are the only two guest appearances on the opus. One of the effort’s standout tracks is “Love Song,” the twins’ rendition of The Cure’s 1989 track “Lovesong.”

I AM SHOCKED!
After having to endure the shitty so called “dance” of Kelis and kelly and Co. here comes unexpectedly one of the most amazing dance productions of the year from Nina Sky.
Growing up in Europe and listening to a fine blend of american urban sounds, English pop and German dance I am very impressed with this EP.
They can keep up with the best dance productions of Robyn, Sophie Ellis Baxtor, Kylie and Co.
with eeeeeeeaaaaaaaase!
The girls look and sound so much better than the crap they had to do when they first came out.
This is so mature and well produced!
Thank you for showing how it’s done right!

I would have paid money for this EP if I had to! So it’s an added bonus that it’s free. These girls have found a style which really suits them, and I can’t wait for their album to come out!
