Rap-Up.com || Nicki Minaj Announces Album Title

This year, Black Friday won’t be black at all. Nicki Minaj has declared the Friday after Thanksgiving as Pink Friday.

The Young Money rapper has dubbed her debut album Pink Friday, she revealed to her fans via Ustream. The highly-anticipated project is set for release on November 23, the Tuesday before Black Friday in the U.S. That is traditionally the biggest shopping day of the year when Americans flock to stores to begin their Christmas shopping.

“To carry on a great tradition of Black Friday, we are going to switch it up this year in honor of the Nicki Minaj album and call that day Pink Friday, and call my album Pink Friday,” Nicki announced in her British accent.

She then signed off with her signature greeting. “It’s Barbie, bitch!”

I’m pretty much neutral on the name, I’m not gonna hate on nicki, I’ma give her a chance, I just hope she can bring the fire, but I’m not one 2 jump on the band wagon, I personally don’t like the “barbie persona”, I feel like she kinda subconciously thinks that just becuz she signed 2 young money, she doesn’t have work as hard, she only does what the fans want her 2 do, which are little girls, I’m judgin’ from 12-16, majority wise. those are the girls that’ll like EVERY song she comes out. I’m 17, and I feel like she’s sweet and pretty good when she wants to be. but she changed from her earlier mixtape and the “come up” days, she’s not as raw, she’s too commercial, which is sometimes I feel like the artist is sellin’ out. people has got to realize that sometimes just becuz u on everybody’s track doesn’t mean u necessarily good, u are just high in demand and are just there for promotion, with the artist that ure just featurin’ for gets a higher fanbase. I feel like lil wayne slacked, just my opionion, all i’m sayin’ is I hope that drake, nicki minaj, and everybody else on YM are worth the hype.
