Rap-Up.com || Video: Eminem f/ Rihanna – ‘Love the Way You Lie’

Art imitates life in the graphic video for Eminem and Rihanna’s No. 1 collaboration “Love the Way You Lie,” the second single off Recovery. The bad boy rapper and pop star, who’ve both been in tumultuous relationships, tackle domestic violence in the blockbuster clip directed by Joseph Kahn.

The storyline is loosely based on Em’s rocky past with his ex-wife Kim and co-stars “Lost’s” Dominic Monaghan and “Transformers” actress Megan Fox. “The concept of ‘Love the Way You Lie’ was essentially a look at the relationship that Eminem was in with his wife, Kim, so I kind of felt like I was playing Eminem a little bit, and Megan Fox was kind of playing Kim,” Monaghan told MTV News. “We’re supposed to be desperately in love, like Bonnie and Clyde style, like Sid and Nancy, John and Yoko … Eminem and Kim.”

Could have done without Megan Fox and the other dude; their acting looked forced. I didn’t even notice that was Fox to the very end. Eminem and Rihanna’s acting was far more powerful, my eyes were glued to those two, the rest was just background.

OMG that was probably one of the most amazing/powerful videos of all time. This is why people looked forward to videos… artists that can deliver (GaGa, Rihanna, Eminem) reminded everyone that music videos can still be amazing. The acting for everyone in this was superb and felt very real and will hit close to home for many who watch it. No doubt that this is Video Music Awards, Grammy, American Music Awards, and World Music Award quality… I am so excited that this met my expectations.

I’m literally dying over the Ciara and Rihanna comments. I really expected more from this video along the lines of Rihanna acting as the girlfriend or like a mentor.
