John Legend uplifted Central Park with a soulful set on Friday’s “Good Morning America.” The Grammy winner, along with the “hardest working band” The Roots, performed material from their ’60s and ’70s covers album Wake Up! (Sept. 21). Watch them take on Baby Huey’s “Hard Times” and inspire with the original composition “Shine,” below.
