Rap-Up TV reunited with the R&B crooner in Hollywood to talk about his fourth album King of Hearts, due around Valentine’s Day, and signing with Polow Da Don’s Zone 4 imprint on Interscope Records. The Southern gentleman explains why he’s keeping the album’s production in-house, the funny nickname Polow Da Don gave him, and the great expectations he’s set for himself. “I’m amongst some amazing company [on Interscope] and it’s just an incredible energy, and I feel a great weight on my shoulders to deliver,” he said. Lloyd is one of the most humble artists of today really talented and definately underrated. Reminds me of a modern day MJ. I feel like his second album was heavily slept on especially after he dropped “You” with Lil Wayne which in my opinion is one of the best songs of this decade. His new single “Lay It Down” is already getting praised and i can definately say hes going in the right direction with this King Of Hearts album. Polow is producing the whole album so i can only expect greatness.

I’m just glad that he exposed Doo Doo Brown for the lying crybaby that he is!
Go Lloyd! Even though you’re irrelevant…

He SHOULD feel pressure, especially after that mess of a 3rd album.

Well, I am ecstatic about the new song lay it down. i agree with @will Lloyd is very underrated. I appreciate his struggle and that continues to bring quality music, that to may has very unique sound that has not been credited on is value. But instead he was rated on sells. I feel like all of his previous alums are timeless because I haven’t out grown them and can relate to them. His music also has the ability to change moods. Furthermore lol he does have a lil mj sound. I believe that if he stays tru to his heart about his music then king of hearts will be successful. All his other cds and eps have been on repeat constantly. LOVE U LLOYD
