John Legend and The Roots go back in time in the uplifting video for “Wake Up Everybody,” their soulful remake of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes’ 1975 classic “Wake Up Everybody” from their covers album Wake Up! (Sept. 21). The throwback clip, directed by Gil Green, also stars a funky Common and Melanie Fiona, who help deliver their friends’ message of change.
