Rap-Up.com || Exclusive: Mariah Carey Christmas Album Title, Release Date Revealed

Mariah Carey may or may not be pregnant, but one thing’s for sure, she will be delivering a bundle of joy this holiday season. The sequel to the pop songbird’s Christmas album has been given an official title and due date.

Rap-Up.com has exclusively learned that Mimi’s upcoming holiday project will be called Merry Christmas II You. The II represents the follow-up to 1994′s multi-platinum Merry Christmas album, which spawned the now-classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” The new offering is scheduled for a November 2 release and will include original material as well as covers of holiday classics.

An accompanying DVD will also be released the same day, but there are currently no details on what exactly it will contain. The packaging was shot in the spring by famed photographer David LaChapelle and features a festive setting with fake snow, tinsel, and wooden reindeers.

Mariah’s manager Chris Lighty tweeted that she is working with the Home Shopping Network (HSN) to promote the project, which is guaranteed to be the perfect stocking stuffer.

I don’t think it will turn out well with this album I do luv me some MiMi though. I kinda hoped she would go away and have that baby then return with a hot comeback again I think we need to miss her a bit then we all would appreciate her all the more. I think she needs a break to relax and raise her child.

Honestly people say your a done deal if you have one bad record sales. Her last album was one of her best musically. And she is a legend people, not hating the girls in the game now, but they would be quite lucky if they have the career she has. I can’t wait for this album and any other thing Mz.Mimi puts out!

There’s a difference between having an amazing voice, great songs, and minimal record sales OPPOSED TO having an autotuned voice, trendy beats, and meaningless lyrics. I guess whatever makes it to the radio is considered good music these days. I love Mariah, I can’t wait for this Christmas album, and I’m even more excited for her next real studio album (to be released in early-mid 2011) her last album was missing all the spices from Jermaine, and other collaborators. Instead she did a whole album with The-Dream, whose music always sounds the same.

i wish people didnt hate on mariah as much as they do. they only dont like her becuase she supposedly wrote a song about eminem, when it wasnt even based on him it was based from what regina george said on mean girls about the goth chick. she hasnt done anything wrong.
she wrote obsessed about him and she only wrote something back becuase he wrote about 3 songs about her, “bagpipes in baghdad”, “the warning” and some other one. shes only written obsessed and she gets hated for it the most? and i saw an interview and yeah he did play a small part in it but its mainly based on mean girls becuase its her favourite movie.
