John Legend and The Roots remake Bill Withers’ anti-war anthem “I Can’t Write Left-Handed,” originally recorded at the end of the Vietnam War in 1972. The song appears on their ’60s and ’70s covers album Wake Up!

“As I record this now, we’re coming toward what we hope is the end of another war of choice,” says Legend. It couldn’t come at a more appropriate time. President Obama declared the end of the U.S. combat mission in Iraq yesterday.
